An informative presentation titled “The Social Transcript Application and Its Importance” was held for the students of Balıkesir University’s Marketing and Advertising Program.

During the presentation, it was emphasized that, in today’s world, in addition to academic achievement, students’ social skills, creativity, and contributions to society hold great importance. Within the framework of the guideline prepared in accordance with Balıkesir University’s Social Transcript Directive, students were informed about how their social, cultural, artistic, athletic, scientific, and volunteer activities can be documented through the social transcript system.

The event also highlighted how the social transcript contributes to students’ personal and professional development, career planning, and the awareness it creates in portfolios and job applications after graduation. Technical details regarding the application, approval, and documentation processes were shared, and questions from students were answered.

Held with the active participation of Design Department students, the information session aimed to strengthen students’ sense of social responsibility, enhance their professional awareness, and encourage a more holistic perspective on university life.
